At K9 Safety Consultants, our mission goes beyond training dogs. We believe that education, structure, and proper guidance can change the trajectory of a dog’s life — especially for those who didn’t get the best start.

That is why we proudly partner with Almost Home Animal Rescue to help dogs in need find stability, training, and ultimately their forever homes.

Almost Home Scholarship Program
Each year, K9 Safety Consultants selects four rescue dogs from Almost Home to enter our training program through what we call our Training Scholarship Program.
These dogs are often overlooked due to behavioral challenges, lack of structure, or simply because they have not been given the opportunity to learn how to succeed in a home environment.

Through this program, selected dogs receive professional training designed to help them:

Improve social skills with people and environments

Address behavioral issues that may have prevented adoption

Learn the skills needed to succeed in a family home

By investing time, training, and guidance into these dogs, we help transform them into adoptable companions ready for their second chance.

Giving Dogs a Second Chance
The goal of the Scholarship Program is simple:
take dogs that may have been overlooked and help them become the kind of dog families are proud to bring home.
​
Once training is complete, these dogs return to Almost Home where they are placed with carefully selected adopters who are ready to continue their journey.
This initiative allows K9 Safety Consultants to combine our expertise in training with a deeper mission — helping deserving dogs find the stable, loving homes they deserve.

​K9 Safety Consultants proudly supports the mission of the Ember Reign Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping dogs and the families who love them during moments of medical crisis.
​
The foundation was created in honor of Ember Reign, a remarkable Doberman who was also a former student at K9 Safety Consultants. Ember successfully completed advanced obedience training and participated in our Poison Proofing program after surviving a poisoning incident.
​
Her story became a powerful reminder of how quickly life can change for a dog and their family when medical emergencies occur.
​
Supporting Life-Saving Care
Veterinary emergencies can happen suddenly and without warning. For many families, the cost of life-saving treatment can become overwhelming in a very short period of time.

The Ember Reign Foundation was created to help bridge that gap by providing financial assistance, education, and advocacy for dogs in need of urgent veterinary care.
